Full Recipe:
Ingredients:
- 2 sticks of butter, softened
- 1.5 cups confectioner’s sugar (I buy Trader Joe’s brand!)

1 tsp vanilla
- 2.5 cups flour
- 1 tsp cream of tartar
- 1 tsp baking soda
Directions:
- Cream butter, confectioner’s sugar, egg, and vanilla.
- Blend in dry ingredients
- Chill dough (usually overnight, but a few hours is fine)
- Roll out on a floured surface, cut into shapes
- Bake at 400 degrees for 4-5 minutes. Watch them carefully to get a feel for the baking time, it will vary depending on how thick you rolled them out.
Half Recipe (eggless for dough licking)
Ingredients:

- 2 Tbsp apple sauce

- 1.25 cups flour
- 1/2 tsp cream of tartar
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
Directions:
- Cream butter, confectioner’s sugar, apple sauce, and vanilla.
- Blend in dry ingredients
- Chill dough (usually overnight, but a few hours is fine)
- Roll out on a floured surface, cut into shapes
- Bake at 400 degrees for 4-5 minutes. Watch them carefully to get a feel for the baking time, it will vary depending on how thick you rolled them out.
